The Credit People Review:
The Credit People is a credit repair company serving consumers who are seeking improvement of their credit scores and history reports. The team at The Credit People will order and review consumer credit reports from the major credit reporting agencies, allow consumers to skip the step of the ordering process.
The credit specialists will then review credit information and dispute the negative items on the credit reports according to federal regulations. As negative information is updated or removed from the consumer credit reports, updated credit reports will be sent to the customer to keep up to date with the company’s progress.
Program Pricing (as of 01/2013)
The Credit People offers two payment options for customers. They have the choice of paying a one-time upfront cost for services or dividing payments into smaller increments.
The full upfront payment amount totals $299. For those who are interested in smaller payments, there is the additional option of three payments of $99. The first payment is due at the time of enrollment with the additional payments being made every 30 days moving forward. Credit reports are a part of both plans which eliminates the need or the expense to be the obligation of the customer.
The company offers a full guarantee. If customers are not satisfied with services, they will be refunded all of their paid money without further obligation.
The Credit People offers basic credit repair assistance by helping customers dispute the negative, inaccurate information contained on their consumer credit reports. They provide the consumer credit reports so the customer does not have to do it on their own.
One drawback about The Credit People’s credit repair plans is the pricing. The company offers the choice of a payment plan or an one-time, upfront fee that covers all services. However, financial experts recommend never paying upfront for credit repair services. For some consumers who are seeking a credit repair program which has no hidden fees or monthly charges, the program may be effective but it is typically better to pay after services have been completed. The company does offer a full refund for clients who are not satisfied with the services which may compensate for the initial upfront risk.
The Credit People’s website does not offer the credit repair information and resources that other competitive companies provide. The process seems simple for customers to move through in order to help improve their credit but there does not appear to be much follow care to prevent credit mistakes in the future.
